Synopsis

In early 20th-century Västerbotten, the strong-willed dairymaid Rönnog falls passionately in love with Isak-Mårten. But their love is threatened by others who also claim him—and by the societal pressures that bind them. A story of deep emotional struggle, longing, and survival, the film explores what it means to fight for love when life is hard and love even harder.
